AFP ranks among the top 10 French companies in terms of gender equality

According to a study led by Forbes and Statista last November, AFP gets the 7th place among the 49 French ranked companies, and the 65th place among the 400 worldwide companies overall. AFP is also the first media that appears in the ranking.


This study was based on a survey of approximately 85,000 women working in 400 multinational companies of 36 countries. The women were invited to assess anonymously their employer's performance regarding gender topics such as gender equality on opportunities for advancement and parental leave.

The event, organized by the Big Data for Smart Society Institute (GATE) in Sofia, is part of a weeklong event from January 23 to 27 titled “United against disinformation”.


The roundtable discussion on January 26 -- which will focus on the Code of Practice for fact-checkers in Bulgaria and Romania -- will be open to the public and will include interested stakeholders from the technology, media and academic sectors as well as NGOs.
